Airshow Ad
This ad was for our base air show. The original concept of having the F/A-18 Hornets splayed out in that fashion was from the base visual information office. The designer there never finished the project. I received a low resolution version of her design over the e-mail. I completely rebuilt the ad, from scratch, using none of her work. I added a lot of new design ideas to this piece, including the parachutes, the clear text with the clouds coming through, the clouds, and other design ideas. Also, I decided on a curved arch for the planes, instead of the pointed arch she had originally done. In this piece there is a C-5, Navy F/A-18 Hornets, and Army Parachuters. The Navy planes are part of a demo team called the Blue Angels. The parachuters are called the Golden Knights, they are an Army demo team. The C-5 is not part of an acrobatic demo team. I was able to go up with the Golden Knights at this air show. I sat in their aircraft, freezing at 30,000 feet with he doors open, and watched them all jump. It was pretty darn cool.
